SOC REVIEW

OMFGGGGG I finished this in 1 week It’s literally so good. I haven’t read all of the Shadow and Bone trilogy because I was getting bored of it but I do have some understanding about the Grishaverse.

What can I say, Six of Crows is a beautifully written novel by Leigh Bardugo, like literally her writing is really stunning and her world-building is second to none. It was very fun and entertaining to read, like the six main characters are so well-developed and complex, with their own motivations and backstories, you can’t help but love them even more. The heist itself is incredibly exciting and full of twists and turns, and the action scenes as well are well-written and easy to visualise. And GURL WYLAN IS LITERALLY THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE GRISHAVERSE. THE BANTERS BETWEEN THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE THE BEST. AND KANEJ. KANEJ IS PERECT. THEY ARE THE TRUE DEFINITION OF *SLOW BURN ROMANCE*.

The other thing I have to say is that I was kinda struggling on the first 5-6 chapters of the book and I do think it has to do with the fact that it’s a fantasy novel (same with Shadow and Bone) and I wasn’t really into fantasy novels back then but other than that six of crows is an outstanding novel that delivers on every level. It’s a fast-paced, enjoyable and a thrilling adventure story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the the start to the finish with memorable characters, rich world-building and high quality writing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good action-heist story or just fantasy in general.

AMAZING

Leigh Bardugo's best work yet. Her SOC duology has shown how much she's grown as a writer. Amazing read.

It’s so good!

I found out about the book from the Netflix series, Shadow and Bone. I love all the characters but I’m more interested with story of the crows/the dregs. So I decided to get the duology of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom first. I swear reading the book makes my understanding about the Grishaverse even better, especially the story of the crows since SoC. My fave character from the series is Jesper and Kaz Brekker, but when I read the Six of Crows, I’m so in love with Kazzzzzzz! I used the words No Mourners, No Funerals as my motto. Hahaha. You can read SoC first without reading Shadow and Bone trilogy but I don’t want to read the Crooked Kingdom right now, because I was told I’m gonna get spoiled too much, so I’m planning to buy the trilogy of Shadow and Bone first, only then I’ll read Crooked Kingdom, then King of Scars and Rules of Wolves. I wish MPH will give me more discount. Hahha
