City of Girls

The book started very strong, I loved Gilbert's note, I loved Vivian right away. She was so ready to throw herself out in the world and welcome all the experiences that was thrown back at her. I think her attitude for life was a good reminder of 'life is short' and we mustn't forget to live it while we can. Gilbert gave so much life and energy to her characters that it really impressed me so much.

The whole book felt effervescent and joyful. I am enamoured with Vivian Morris and wish only that I had known her and learned with her.She is both completely a fairytale. I really enjoyed this book, it was charming, funny & delightful read!

This was a great fun read. It made me laugh lots of times and I even cried at the end. Vivian and her chosen family are a motley bunch of great characters
