About the Author

Kim Ryeo-ryeong is an award-winning and bestselling YA author in Korea. She has won prizes for her writing, including the Munhak Dongne Children's Literature Prize in 2007 for A Seahorse Lives in My Heart, and the Ma Hae-song Literary Award in 2007 for The Child Who Brought Memories. Her most popular novel, Wandeuk, was nominated a best novel of the year by major Korean bookstores and was adapted into the critically acclaimed film, Punch.
