What do an overachieving octopus, a zealous zither and a hopeless hippo have in common? They're all part of the zany world of Imaginary Friends, a collection of 26 hilarious, satirical tales by Melanie Lee.

Note: This is NOT a children's book. These fun fables are for the BIG kids, the young-at-heart adults who love laughs and poking fun at the silly grown-up world!

Staff Review:
Break away from the stereotypical 'Aesop Fables' which most of us have grown up with! We now have 26 A-Z imaginary friends. Each of them has a story to tell, each with their unique characters. Some of them are animals, some are fruits and a few others are everyday things.

Some of their stories teach us about life and some about work, basically the little things that we may overlook that affects us everyday. Take for example, 'Greta the Grouchy Grape'. Whether consciously or otherwise, they might be someone in the office or home that is constantly sour about everything that is happening, and no matter how much encouragement and care are being shown towards her, the grape decides it is her nature to be grouchy and alone. In the end, everyone else continues to be green and grinning, while Grouchy Grape turns crinkled and dry. Soon, she is merely thrown away into the bin, forgotten altogether.
