A senior member of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy, University Malaysia Sabah since 2003. Journal publications are mostly related to the economics of conserving wildlife and natural areas, energy, economic growth, seaweed economics, and labour issue. Holding two external positions: as Adjunct Professor and Senior Research Fellow, Centre of Local Government, University New England-Business School, Australia, and Senior Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor, Center for Strategic Policy and Governance, Palawan State University, Philippines. Also writes for local newspapers and internet news portals.
Alexander Yee
Alexander Yee holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) in Hotel Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts and is an entrepreneur.
Alexander is one of the founding members and the President of the award-winning tourism association, KiTA (Kinabatangan - Corridor of Life Tourism Operator Association). He served two terms as one of the Board Members of the Sabah Tourism Board and is one of the founding members of KTA (Kiulu Tourism Association), STAN (Sandakan Tourism Association), and UTTA’s President. He is also the founder of FOSTER (Friends of Sea Turtles Education & Research) and RESPECT (RESPonsible Elephant Conservation Trust) where he now serves as FOSTER’s President and RESPECT’s Chairman. He is also the President of SEPA (Sabah Environmental Protection Association) and serves as one of the Trustees of WWF Malaysia.
