The Head of ICT plays a critical role in aligning IT initiatives with overall business objectives, driving digital transformation, and leveraging technology to support and enhance business operations while ensuring the effective and secure operation of information technology, systems, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and guidance in managing and leveraging technology to support and enhance the organization's overall business objectives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives by aligning IT strategies with business goals, implementing new technologies, and enhancing customer experiences.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring their effective and secure operation.
- Support and collaborate with other business units on any business development and operational activities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, explore emerging technologies, and identify opportunities to leverage technology for business growth and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, data security, and privacy.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to secure the right technologies and services that meet the organization's needs.
- Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring successful delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Enhance data collection and analysis capabilities, leveraging data-driven insights for informed decision-making and business improvements.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development, keeping up with emerging trends and technologies.
- Manage and develop IT staff, provide guidance, allocate resources, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring data protection, compliance, and disaster recovery planning.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Communicate and report IT strategies, initiatives, and progress to the board of directors, executives, Group IT and other stakeholders, highlighting benefits, issues and risks.
- Lead and support the organization through IT-related changes, managing resistance and facilitating smooth transitions
Key Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Broad understanding of System and Architecture, Enterprise Applications, Data Analytics, Software Development Lifecycle, Project Management, Cybersecurity, Emerging Technologies, IT Service Management, Data Privacy and Compliance, Cloud Computing, Technical Vendor Management.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience in the retail sector, particularly e-commerce or digital transformation.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers at our store with book inquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
- Attend to and resolve customer inquiries or complaints made via email, chats, and phone calls.
- Monitor and respond to online inquiries via Facebook, Instagram, Google, Shopee, and TikTok platforms.
- Update customers on store promotions and events.
- Constantly interact with internal parties to ensure all issues and complaints are addressed.
- Provide knowledgeable book recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Stay informed about new book releases, store promotions and upcoming events.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in books or similar industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills.
- Willingness to work on shifts (day, evening, or night) and availability to work overtime as and when needed.
- Enthusiasm for books and literature will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Provide good customer service, including answering questions about products and locating the products on the shelves.
- Recommending additional titles based on customer interest.
- Build strong relationships with customers through personalized service.
- Attending inquiries from customers or other outlets via phone calls.
- Frequent housekeeping, products displayed at the right shelves/locations, prominently display promotional items.
- Maintain and stay updated on products, sales, and promotions.
- Be alert to outlet surroundings to prevent any incidents, e.g., shoplifting.
- Gift-wrapping services.
Requirements:
- SPM or Diploma/Degree in Retail or Business Management.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficiency in English and Malay.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-service-focused.
- Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality.
- Flexible enough to work various shifts, weekends and public holiday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan daily sales, department targets and monitor the progress regularly.
- Monitor and control outlet’s expenses, ensure fast product replenishment and /or returning unproductive products.
- Frequent housekeeping, ensure that all products are displayed at the right locations, and prominently display promotional items.
- Provide good customer service, including answering questions about products, and recommending additional titles based on customers’ interests.
- Handling customers’ complaints in a professional manner.
- Support the marketing team with in-store promotions, social media updates, and customer outreach.
- Supervise or be involved directly in outlet’s day-to-day operational duties including cashiering, sales checking, cash banking, stock receiving and processing, and outlet maintenance and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Retail or Business Management or any related field.
- Prior experience in books (especially non-fiction) or similar industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills.
- Willingness to work on shifts (day, evening, or night shifts) and availability to work overtime as and when needed.
- Enthusiasm for books and literature will be an added advantage.
