Blessed Mouse (Malaysian Literature Series)

The satirical novel by Hassan Ibrahim has been written in the style of the beast fable, whereby all the characters are animals. In the new rodent land of Tikusia Raya, where a bright future seems to await its citizens, mice of different breeds are depicted with human-like traits, such as self-importance or blind following. These unfavourable characteristics contribute to an ominous social scenario leading to an eventual outcome that brings no benefit to the leaders or those they lead.
