Gives a glimpse into Trevor's life and explaining the literal aptly titled book "Born a Crime"
This book makes me laugh, horrified, heartbroken and happy, sometimes all at once or in a row. It was a genuine male voice. The author’s writing for all languages in which he tells his story is impressive. The author has spent many lives in a short time on this earth and life comes to life in these pages. I remember at one point i put the book away for a week because i wasn't ready to know what happened next. I love the way he writes it and i would recommend checking it out.
t was inspiring and powerful at times, hilarious at others, and heartbreaking at others. Trevor Noah has a lot of respect for me, and his mother was, without a doubt, an incredible woman who raised him as a big good influence in his life. Recommend!
While it's expected that Trevor Noah's memoir would be funny, it is also very insightful and wise. Trevor brought his childhood in apartheid South Africa to life in this utterly charming memoir, but the center stage has to be his courageous and fierce mother, from whom Trevor obviously inherited his wit and fearlessness. A brilliant read.
