In Daddy's Girls, Danielle Steel's thought-provoking novel, three sisters discover the truth about their past and the importance of their unique bond.
Many years have passed since ranch hand JT Tucker took his three small daughters to start a new life, eventually building the largest ranch in California. But success comes at a price, and with no mother in their life, Tucker's relationship with each of his very different daughters was complicated.
Caroline, the youngest, was overlooked by her father. She fled the ranch as early as she could to become a wife and mother, pursuing a career writing children's books. Gemma, his declared favourite, yearned for Hollywood glamour and became a major TV star. Kate, the eldest, stayed to work on the ranch, forsaking relationships and family for a father who took her for granted.
When JT dies suddenly, the paper trail he leaves behind reveals more than the sisters could ever have guessed. The truth brings a new reality, helping them to understand who they really are and what they really want.
This book is the story of three sisters who each have a different kind of relationship with their father. Upon his death, the paper trail he leaves behind begins to reveal much more than the three sisters ever guessed about who he really was. It will turn their world upside down, and each of them must grapple with a new reality, strengthening their relationships with one another and discovering who they are now as grown women, in spite of him.
I loved all the characters in the story and how the story focuses on each of them as they face their problems and come out more stronger in the end.
When their father dies suddenly & unexpectedly, Daddy's girls Caroline, Gemma, and Kate are brought together to sort out the details & find a way to move forward with the ranch that they now co-own together. As they reconnect they also discover a lost connection from their past. The mother they had been told died was very much alive and well and living nearby. The three girls come together to sort out their lives, their business, & their future.
This book is the story of three sisters who come together to deal with the effects of an domineering father and the problems each sister has. It was fun to watch each of the sisters deal with their problems , become close again and get their happy ever after. If you love Danielle Steele's books you will enjoy this one.
