This book examines the interconnected histories of the Zirids of Ifriqiya and the Normans of Sicily during the Middle Ages. In doing so, it shows the substantial economic, political, and cultural connections between them as well as the larger importanceof the Zirids to the history of the medieval Mediterranean.--
