Zambry Abd. Kadir’s second poetry collection discusses frontally about politics, humanity, longings and his worries about the future of his society and people. All these viewpoints came from a mainstream politician. Different from his first poetry collection, Voices of Fishermen, which reminices the nature and the ambience of the island that had groomed him, Friend’s Letter presents 70 poems which courageously postulated his views on the actors and directors of the political world itself – the world that keep changing its story, plot and act. The political nuances in this collection are difficult to contain.
