This book is an anthology of short stories named after it's main story, which is a sequel to The Outsider. The book cover art is wonderful. At first glance, I didn't see the rat.Such an awesome of short stories. Loved it & highly recommend.
There are 4 stories for you to read. Not all stories are great, but personally I liked the most horror one which is 'Rat'.
1. Mr. Harrigan's Phone - an end of the world tale. Nice & creepy.
2. The Life of Chuck - This one was a bit flat for me & the ending confused me. Definitely the least creepy out of all the stories.
3. If It Bleeds - This one is basically a sequel to The Outsider. If you haven’t read The Outsider, you’ll most likely feel a tad disconnected from this one but it’s still completely readable.
4. Rat - This one is where the horror lies...A writer by the name of Drew retreats to an isolated cabin to write a book and gets a bit crazy.
Stephen King's writing is so smooth that I easily get lost in his stories.
I LOVED this book. It was mysterious, frightening, sad and uplifting all the same time.
Stephen King did it again and came up with a brilliant set of four stories!
