Lalani of the Distant Sea

When Lalani's mother falls very ill, she decides to find a way to heal her. She undergoes many trials and travels far from her home, crossing the sea and encountering a variety of different beings.
I really enjoyed the storytelling as well. I also liked seeing some darker themes in this particularly revenge, which was so smartly written. Lalani's story is inspiring and beautiful and fantastically woven with myth and hope.
