I first read "Little Women" when I was 12 years old. Until today (at 48 years old), I still love this timeless classic and have read and reread it umpteenth times. When I saw this Usborne Illustrated version, I fell in love with it at first sight. I was at MPH Bookstore MidValley and the price was rather steep. Nevertheless, I was determined to purchase it and when I finally had the money, I couldn't find it in the bookstore anymore.
Thankfully, during the MCO, I found a copy of that same book on MPH Online. Immediately, I put in the order. Now that I have received it, I am going to cherish it. This delightful tale of four sisters navigating through adolescence and womanhood through poverty and hardship is as wonderful as ever. As an English teacher, I am introducing "Little Women" to another generation of youngsters, both girls and boys. They not only learn good English from Louisa May Alcott's novel but also good moral values of love, hard work and living right. Accompanied by such lovely illustrations, I believe this story will continue to touch and inspire countless generations of young readers all over the world.
