Sam Harris and his Making Sense podcast conversations are the exact conversations that should be happening in the mainstream. Thoughtful, measured and with the best intentions for humanity. Sam Harris does a good job at getting leading thinkers to succinctly convey their key ideas. Particularly good for those new to subjects such as consciousness studies, cognitive biases, superintelligence etc. Presumes a bit of knowledge of these fields but Harris generally unpacks a topic and makes it accessible to those new to a subject area. Highly recommend this book and his podcast.
