The Malaysia Agreement 1963 is a story about the birth of a nation called Malaysia. Four territories agreed to combine forces and signed an Agreement called the Malaysia Agreement 1963 in London, together with representatives of the Queen of the United Kingdom. The agreement, popularly known as the ‘MA63’ is the birth certificate of Malaysia, and many rules and laws were made because of the MA63, including the highest law of the land called the Federal Constitution. As the date 16th September 1963 is the official birth date of Malaysia, every Malaysian should be aware of it and celebrate Malaysia's birthday every year on this date.
However sadly, Singapore left the coalition in 1965. Today, Malaysia is still standing with the three territories of Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia (Malaya) together. The MA63 as the birth certificate of Malaysia, holds the identity; along with the hopes and dreams of every Malaysian.
