My First Book Block: First Words

The First Words Lift-a-Flap Sound Book helps young children learn new words by lifting flaps, matching objects, and pushing buttons. The book, recommended for children ages 18 months and older, features 32 words that are divided into four categories: fruit, toys, music, and animals. As children explore the eight colorful objects on each two-page spread, they lift flaps to find icons that match the five buttons on the book s sound module. Kids press the buttons to hear the name of each of these objects and a sound that represents each object:

Train, followed by a chugging engine
Drum, and entertaining drum beats
Fish, plus bubbling and splashing sounds
Bird, and its delightful song

The book s thick, coated pages help prevent rips and tears. Three replaceable long-life AG-13 button cell batteries that power the book are included. The First Words Lift-a-Flap Sound Book conforms to the safety requirements of ASTM F963-08.
