Today was the day I fell in love with poetry once more.
I didn’t simply just write them. Instead, I let the words float freely downstream from my heart into the void before me. The broken letters rearranged themselves in perfect order, as if it were sheet music ready to be played by a concerto. It was beautiful. With nervous anticipation I read the notes and hummed the sad tune softly, careful not to stir the water. And in the still reflection, I see me.
