Katie Brenner has the perfect life: a flat in London, a glamorous job, and a super-cool Instagram feed. OK, so the truth is that she rents a tiny room with no space for a wardrobe, has a hideous commute to a lowly admin job, and the life she shares on Instagram isn't really hers. But one day her dreams are bound to come true, aren't they? Until her not-so-perfect life comes crashing down when her mega-successful boss Demeter gives her the sack. All Katie's hopes are shattered. She has to move home to Somerset, where she helps her dad with his new glamping business. Then Demeter and her family book in for a holiday, and Katie sees her chance. But should she get revenge on the woman who ruined her dreams - or try to get her job back? Does Demeter - the woman who has everything - actually have such an idyllic life herself? Maybe they have more in common than it seems. And what's wrong with not-so-perfect, anyway?

My Not So Perfect Life

Wonderful story that was both hilarious and heartfelt. Such a wonderful way of storytelling that is so unique.

Sophie Kinsella

Sophie Kinsella's writings make me laugh and grin as well as draw me in. Katie Brenner, the protagonist in this book, is a typical example of her flawed yet likeable characters.

worth it

There was a lot of character development which I adore and we get to see the mc in different situations, i.. in city life, her relationship with her fancy work friends, life at home on the farm, her relationship with her family.Very enjoyable

My Not So Perfect Life

This was a fantastic read for me. It had a decent plot about a single woman attempting to find her way into appropriate career while discovering that the life and family she had left behind weren't as horrible as she had imagined. There was a romance element to the story, but the main lesson for me was not to be envious of other people's lives since what you see on the outside
