The story begins when Nancy and her friend Helen are enjoying their vacation out of town. During this vacation Nancy and her friend were involved in a boat accident. An unexpected accident caused by a thunderstorm. In that panic situation they were finally rescued by a girl named Laura. At that point Nancy is unaware that her meeting with Laura will lead her to a new mystery story. This time, Nancy suspects Laura's guardian is a thief of the orphan's inheritance. Nancy needs to find the truth? you must read this book to the end. I really loved the adventure experience with Nancy Drew

The book starts off with heart pounding action, as Nancy and her friend Helen are caught out on the lake in a thunderstorm. Will they reach the shore through the blowing winds and treacherous waves? Luckily, a young gal, Laura, hears Nancy's cries for help and rescues the two. After introductions are made, Laura rather cryptically responds that she may need Nancy's help some day soon. What mystery will find Nancy tracking down clues?

Another sound mystery in the series. Love how each chapter ends on a suspenseful note. Predictable but fun.

A pleasant read!

Very intersting and entertaining story. This Nancy Drew adventure was very nicely done and in true ND style, she got in plenty of trouble. An amazing mystery with millions of twists and turns. Perfect for any mystery lover!
