Definitely a Classic

The best. A must-read classic. The story has total grip, and makes a nice introduction to the later genre of social protest fiction. Lots of well drawn characters and beautifully delineated descriptions of down and out of London in the early 19th century.

This novel is a master piece for more than one reason. It is incredible at the age of mere 24 The great Dickens could give us this literary jewel.
The Engish is so rich that had to use the dictionary continually throughout the reading.
