This book will help you embrace omoiyari and bring joy and happiness into your own life and the lives of others.
Care, consideration and empathy underpin all aspects of daily life in Japan and are essential to the social spirit. From Omotenashi (Japanese hospitality), Kirei (cleanliness and organisation) and Mottainai (reducing waste) to Zakka (finding beauty in the mundane) and Senbazuru (the origami art of folding one thousand paper cranes), there are so many different ways that the Japanese emphasise the importance of community and helping others.
This book teaches you about the Japanese art of compassion, which we should incorporate into our lives.
The book cover is very interesting. There is about a man standing under a tree and behind that tree is a mountain covered by snow. It's about the Japanese culture and art. You will enjoy reading this book.
This is a pretty little bedside companion to dip into. It covers many subjects relting to Japanese cuture but I found it all a little too superficial. If you have a short attention span and want to enjoy some snibbits of Japanese culture you will proably enjoy the book.
Very relaxing and beautiful book. Interesting concept as well as lovely pictures. Really enjoyed what for me was an introduction to Japanese culture and its applicability to life outside of Japan. This book is amazing
