PASS WITH DISTINCTION ENGLISH LANGUAGE has been written to give advice and practice to students taking the GCE O Level English Language examination.
The book was extensively revised in 2011 and is divided into the following units:
Unit 1 contains guidelines on:
* writing compositions and specific types of compositions;
* recognizing figurative language, understanding words used in past examinations, and studying sentences which will help them increase their vocabulary and show them different ways of writing about people, places, things and natural phenomena;
* difficult pairs of words and problem words;
* spelling and how to avoid common errors;
* Paper 2 contents;
* answering comprehension questions;
* making a summary and oral communication.
Unit 2 contains eight practice papers for each of Papers 1 to 3.
Unit 3 contains answers when possible.
