Phuut Thai: Basic Conversational Thai

Phuut Thai introduces Elementary Thai to students with no prior exposure to the language. Each chapter introduces basic structures and vocabulary that reappears in subsequent chapters, building vocabulary seamlessly and minimizing the need for memorization. The use of international phonetic symbols gives students a firm foundation of Thai pronunciation. There is minimal use of English, and students to make wise guesses about new material based on illustrations and knowledge gained from previous chapters.

The goal of the book is to provide a firm basic foundation of structure and pronunciation rather than to build vocabulary.
