Primary 3 Vanquish Cloze Passage

Primary English Cloze Passages is a series of six books offering primary school students practices in grammar cloze, vocabulary cloze and comprehension cloze. While students are given help where necessary, these cloze passages are designed with an aim to challenge their abilities further.

The lower primary books (Primary 1 to Primary 3) contain 12 to 13 units each, and the upper primary books (Primary 4 to Primary 6) contain 14 units each. A central topic links the cloze passages in each unit. The topics in each book are carefully chosen to cover a wide variety of subjects. This series is written with close reference to the latest Primary English Syllabus
issued by the Ministry of Education, Singapore. There are a variety of text types — narrative, expository, imaginative and descriptive. Language items covered in the exercises are those stipulated in the syllabus. Students may choose to do the exercises unit by unit, or across the units, concentrating on grammar, vocabulary or comprehension cloze in turn.
