The most talked-about memoir of 2015 - now in paperback.

What does it mean to feel truly alive?

Aged 24, Matt Haig's world caved in. He could see no way to go on living. This is the true story of how he came through crisis, triumphed over an illness that almost destroyed him and learned to live again.

A moving, funny and joyous exploration of how to live better, love better and feel more alive, Reasons to Stay Alive is more than a memoir. It is a book about making the most of your time on earth.

I wrote this book because the oldest cliches remain the truest. Time heals. The bottom of the valley never provides the clearest view. The tunnel does have light at the end of it, even if we haven't been able to see it . . . Words, just sometimes, really can set you free.

A Book For Anyone Who Needs It

An up-close and personal account of depression and anxiety of Matt Haig and his way back. Having anxiety, I can personally relate to his experience. I am thankful to the author for writing this. It gives a tremendous amount of hope for someone going through depression and/or anxiety.

A terrific book and highly recommended.

Reason to Stay Alive

This book is useful for those who wish to get an idea of what it feels like to go through depression. For those who haven't experienced it, they might find it useful, but although cases of depression seem to have similar theme and motifs, they vary in context as much as the sufferers themselves are unique individuals. Everyone's life is different. Everyone's comes to terms with their life in their own way. Just keeping going is a victory for possibility. People feel happier if they have a purpose. Words, just sometimes really can set you free. Recommended worth reading.
