What would you give for a chance to live your dreams?

For seventeen-year-old Korean American Rachel Kim, the answer is almost everything. Six years ago, she was recruited by DB Entertainment-one of Seoul's largest K-pop labels, known for churning out some of the world's most popular stars. The rules are simple: Train 24/7. Be perfect. Don't date. Easy right?

Not so much. As the dark scandals of an industry bent on controlling and commodifying beautiful girls begin to bubble up, Rachel wonders if she's strong enough to be a winner, or if she'll end up crushed... Especially when she begins to develop feelings for K-pop star and DB golden boy Jason Lee. It's not just that he's charming, sexy, and ridiculously talented. He's also the first person who really understands how badly she wants her star to rise.

Reality about hardship as a K-Pop Trainee & Artist

Very recommended, especially for K-Pop fans. At first, just bought this book out of curiosity about how Jessica would write her first novel and as a SONE, but then realize that this is a masterpiece. The story depicts on how hard it is to be a K-Pop artist, from the trainee life, practicing all the time, with though training programs and rules set by the agency and to compete to get a chance to debut as a K-Pop artist. Plus on how hard it is to have a romantic relationship as a trainee and a K-Pop artist. Even if you get a chance to be debuted as a K-Pop artist, the pain doesn't end there and it is just a starting point.

And yes, the rumors that said this story might be a real story about Girls' Generation, might be true (even thou that they said it's not), or have some inspiration from Jesicca's real experience itself.

Very recommended for everyone, especially for K-Pop fans around the world to learn about their hardship and learn to appreciate them to be who they are today.
