Small Animal Anesthesia Techniques

The purpose of the second edition of this book is to broaden this easily accessible guide, which is focused on developing a balanced anesthesia protocol and appropriate multimodal analgesia, through including a diverse set of authors who are experts in their field. As the field of veterinary anesthesia evolves and becomes more complex, the role of the anesthetist as the patient's advocate remains critical as ever. It is the authors' intention to provide evidence-based information to assist with the anesthetic process, patient protocols, and anticipating and managing potential anesthetic complications. However, this work is also reflective of the authors' personal preferences and experiences. Our hope is that this will provide a useful tool with which tomanage anesthesia in a variety of situations, for a variety of anesthetists who serve as the guardians of their patients--
