Tetsuo is a shy boy whose only friend is a giant robot named Yukio. Helmed as the world’s ‘saviour’, he had spent the better part of his childhood fighting against a galactic threat in space. Having reunited with Yukio and earned the trust of the human survivors, Tetsuo is invited by their team leader, Ao, to join them at Mishima Mall. Soon, he learns what has happened to Earth ten years ago, and about the existence of a new threat.
