Strata Title In Malaysia

Until recently, the operation of strata title schemes in Malaysia has been more notable for its problems than its successes. This book looks at te situation in Malaysia with regard to the operation of strata title legislation and condominium development, and compares it with the operation of similar legislation and procedures in New South Wales, Australia. Although the Malaysian Strata Titles Act of 1985 was modelled on the original New South Wales strata legislation, there are now considerable differences in present-day law and procedures between the two jurisdiction. The book indentifies areas of difficulty in Malaysia and notes possible solutions. It also provides an overview of recent developments in this area in New South Wales.
