Student-Centered Mentoring

Student-Centered Mentoring provides mentors with a handbook for coaching mentees in a way that supports them and keeps them focused on the impact their teacher moves have on student learning. The book provides day-to-day mentorship moves to build a powerful mentor/mentee relationship that is focused on student learning. This mentorship model will improve teacher retention, support instructional development, and foster a culture of learning in schools. Schools and districts will be able to adapt these mentorship practices to their unique induction contexts. The book's ancillary materials will provide district administration with the training support they need to develop an effective mentor program across the entire system - including professional development supports for mentors.
