Ex-Delta Force soldier Jack Ford is trying to put the past behind him. But when he receives a letter from someone he hasn't spoken to in thirty years, claiming he has a daughter, he can't resist investigating for himself.
Soon he's on a plane to China, a country he hasn't returned to since witnessing the atrocities of the Tiananmen Square massacre. But on his search he stumbles upon a document which both the Chinese and American governments are desperately chasing. Now Jack is trapped in an impossible dilemma: save his daughter or prevent a new world war where thousands will lose their lives.
The Beijing Conspiracy is a political thriller story with plenty of twists and turns from beginning to end.
Very good story which uses historical events to add to the depth of the storyline. The story takes off when Jack is passed a document under extreme circumstances in Singapore. There is a lot of action and the story moves fairly quickly. I enjoyed the story, I thought the characters were well drawn, and the plot flowed rather well. Excellent thriller recommend giving it a try.
The book is a page-turner: lots of action and unpredictable twists, a compelling narrative, and an all-too-realistic scenario that builds to a great climax. Recommended.
The storyline is not new but executed with no irrelevant embellishments or unnecessary repetitions. The pace is fast, there r enough interesting characters, the scene changes quickly to keep the reader focused. Good effort.
