In a retelling of the Faust legend, magician, astrologer, and chiromancer Johann Faust, suffering from paralyzing seizures but charged with replenishing the pope's drained coffers, hopes for answers from famed artist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci, who suffers from the same malady, before the devil drags him to hell.
