How all of us address the climate crisis in the next thirty years will determine not only the world we will live in but also the world we will bequeath to our children and theirs. The authors outline two possible scenarios for our planet. In one, they describe what life on Earth will be like by 2050 if we fail to meet the Paris climate targets. In the other, they lay out what it will be like to live in a carbon neutral, regenerative world. They argue for confronting the climate crisis headon, with determination and optimism. The Future We Choose presents our options and tells us, in no uncertain terms, what governments, corporations, and each of us can and must do to fend off disaster.
This book is excellent. Explain about the climate crisis and also save the world. Well written and most recommended to everyone who are interested in this book. Gives more information.
This book provides a powerful, persuasive vision of a world we can all help to create. I read it in a single sitting, and 24 hours later I'm thinking about specific things I can do to implement the ideas it proposes. I plan to buy multiple copies to give out to my family and friends. It's especially good for those who want to take action but are at a loss to know what to do, as well as for those who are still questioning the need for action.
This book makes saving the earth and exciting and wonderful and exhilarating task, not a burden. We still can save the world from pollution, climate change and in the process, we can make it into something wonderful.
