Inspired by myth, fairy tale and folklore, THE LANGUAGE OF THORNS will transport you to both lands familiar and strange that millions have visited through the novels of the Grishaverse.

Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.

Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid's voice can summon deadly storms and where a river might do a lovestruck boy's bidding but only for a terrible price.

Inspired by myth, fairy tale, and folklore, no. 1 New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo has crafted a deliciously atmospheric collection of short stories filled with betrayals, revenge, sacrifice, and love.

Perfect for new readers and dedicated fans of the Grishverse.

The Language Of Thorns

Really enjoyed this book of short stories that weaved the magic of fairytale myth into the world of the grisha so well that could have in fact be their own tales. Beautifully written and stunning imagery throughout.

The cover was what caught my attention first. It was so so soo beautiful! But the collection was even more gorgeous as I had hoped it would be. I love how unique the stories are while also bearing strong influences and taking on familiar forms of other classic fairy tales.

Good book

These short stories were wonderful and fascinating, and they had me engaged from start to finish. Leigh Bardugo should really consider producing a collection of short folklore and fairytale stories.
