The Last Templar

The bailiff of Lydford Castle, Simon Puttock is summoned to the scene of a burned-out cottage and a corpse in the nearby village, and joins forces with the mysterious newcomer, Sir Baldwin Furnshill, who discovers that the victim had been dead prior to the fire, after a second fatal burning reveals that evil forces are at work in the area, in a mystery set against the backdrop of fourteenth-century England.
