The Malayan Songbook is made to raise awareness and appreciation for the pre-independence Malay music history of Malaya and Singapore among musicians and history lovers. Music scores in the form of lead sheets are arranged and designed in a way where generations today and those to come, may obtain this rich musical knowledge and continue developing this truly unique musical identity.

The Malayan Songbook is a collection of pre-independence Malayan music scores, offering its readers a window into the golden age of Malayan music. Featuring music scores by composers such as P. Ramlee, Ahmad Jaafar, Ahmad Wan Yet, and Yusof B, the songbook took 5 years of research, audio restoration, music transcription and arrangement, and is finally being published this year.
