The Path through the Plantation is a tale of the many trials and tribulations faced by the protagonist as he struggles through life. Though he had tried several times previous to end his life, his efforts were fruitless. He continues to age, wandering, until he reaches a highland area. Despite the fact he almost loses his life, it is someone else who meets a sudden death instead. This incident brings him sudden realisation to begin to know who he actually is. However, this newly discovered life of responsibility, honestly, contemplation at a high price and hope will expose him to many hardships, which he must struggle to overcome. The place he has settled down in appears calm and peaceful but sometimes a maelstrom lurks beneath the surface, which suddenly bursts forth in interwoven, with nightmares, illusions and hopes; disturbing, irrational and bizarre. The Path through the Plantation is the author's debut novel of his genre, as he has previously written novels and short stories at young people.
