But when a brutal killing takes place on their very doorstep, the Thursday Murder Club find themselves in the middle of their first live case.
Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron might be pushing eighty but they still have a few tricks up their sleeves.
Can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer before it's too late?
Thoroughly enjoyed the plot and humour, would definately recommend for a light, yet engaging read.
Loved the book and its style . Looking forward to next one.
This book is both comedy and murder mystery which I found so wickedly funny and intriguing. When you put a group of senior citizen people to solve a murder mystery, you would know they would get away with anything. I was not expecting it to be the kind of book that would have you at the edge of the seat at first but i was totally wrong! I initially wanted to give it a 4 stars but I chipped in another star since it was set in Kent where I studied for 3 years and I have been to most of the places mentioned so it was easier to plot the scene in my head.
This Book full of unsolved mystery and its so interesting every time one by one of them been solved.
The premise is fantastic. Four old folks who have all their marbles and are able to get out and about with no problem, who meet once a week to solve cold cases. What's not to like? The four-- a nurse, a spy, a psychiatrist, and a professional protester-- all bring their special skills and considerable intellect to the table, and they also get to help educate a detective constable who's new to the area.
