Banished for centuries, as punishment for trying to measure time, the inventor of the world's first clock is finally granted his freedom, along with a mission: a chance to redeem himself by teaching two people the true meaning of time. He returns to our world and embarks on a journey with two unlikely partners: a teenage girl who is about to give up on life and a wealthy, ageing businessman who wants to live for ever. To save himself, he must save them both.
Gripping, and filled with deep human truth, this unforgettable story will inspire readers everywhere to reconsider their own notions of time and just how precious it truly is.
Staff Review:
Time. Some want more, some want less. Some seek immortality, some seek sucide. Is it really time though that we want, or is it control and power?
I enjoyed most of the book except towards the end actually, when I sorta gauge what the ending would be like. Perhaps having read his earlier books, I'd expected the twists to occur only on the last few pages (not chapters in this case). Still, the thought will linger in a reader's mind as to whether time has been utilized to the fullest or wasted on nothingness.

This book had really taught me love value and the strength of true love. The story is not heavy and direct to the point. Enjoy it so much!
This book really opened up my mind that time is precious, time is gold. We should live at the moment, appreciate the present and don't doubt the future.
Never live in fears, or having doubt in future, even you have a painful past. Do relive it and I totally recommend it to those who wants to explore those thought of feeling and release it for your bright future.
This novel taught me the value of time and the strength of true love. I reallu had a great time reading this book. The chapters were short, and the themes were straightforward.
The Time Keeper is a light read. But it was still full of lessons like the rest of Mitch Albom book is; lessons that will keep you thinking, lessons that will fill your thoughts as you lay in bed at night, waiting for sleep to come. After having read it, I felt light-hearted, inspired just the same. Death is a recurring theme in all the Albom books I've read so far, including this one. But The Time Keeper gave a lighter tone to it, which is maybe why I didn't feel heavy hearted when I finished it. The story in general was also lighter as compared to his other books. The characters were a bit more shallow. The conflict was not that deep. But this book is imaginative. I would not have expected Albom to write about Father Time. And I have a feeling that every now and then, when I feel like running out of time, or wishing to stand still in time, or wanting to go back in time, I'll be thinking of him, Father Time.
Highly recommended!!
