During a well-earned break, Jack Ryan Jr runs into old flame Renee Moore in a scenic Barcelona cafe.
But Renee is not so pleased to see him. Distracted, she says she's waiting for someone and can't talk. She promises to call him later, and sends him out onto the street.
Which is when the bomb goes off.
There's nothing he can do to save Renee. But as he cradles her, she utters one last word with her final breath: 'Sammler'
Who did she mean? What did she know? And what trouble had Renee got herself into?
When every thread Jack pulls threatens to make the situation ever more dangerous, he realises he's stumbled into an international conspiracy that might be more than even he can handle.
Because Renee isn't the first to die. And she won't be the last . . .
This author, like the previous Clancy wanna-bees, should go back and read Clancy’s first half dozen books. There they could experience Clancy’s talent for paceing, the richness of his characters, the character’s thoughts and reasonings as well as details of the “ moment” without silly dialogue.
The whole series of books are the same 5 star, full of exciting action mystery and Intrigue.A world wide adventure ups and downs death and destruction, love and deception.
While on vacation in Barcelona, is almost killed by a bombing of a tapas bar that does kill a dear college friend and this launches him into a private crusade to find the killers...At the same time President Ryan is dealing with an international financial blackmail crisis that threatens the World's economy.
