Skye, her sister, is a stay-at-home mom in Paradise, the idyllic NY suburb that's home to designer boutiques and people who fly private. She has a knack for helicopter-parenting with the best of them. But she's not like them. She's looking for something real and it's within touching distance...
Max, Peyton's bright and quirky seventeen-year-old daughter, is poised to kiss the fancy private school she hates goodbye - and all of its spoiled rich kids - and head off to pursue her dreams in film. She's waited her entire life for this opportunity...
This book is really about two sisters. Peyton is a morning news anchor, super Type A, very ambitious, and interested in constructing the perfect life. She has a seventeen-year-old daughter, Max, and is trying to make Max as perfect as Peyton by getting her into the best college. And Peyton's sister, Skye, is a little crunchier. She's always worked in nonprofits and education and is currently a frustrated stay-at-home mom in a competitive, affluent suburb of New York City called Paradise.
The thing about sisters is the question about "is there a limit to love?" Peyton has a secret that she doesn't know if she should tell. Is that secret going to be the one thing that her sister Skye won't accept? There's also the question about "What could you do to push away the person who loves you the most?"
Peyton, a famous news anchor who has everything. A successful career, a loving husband, and a teenage daughter on the road to college. Well Peyton thinks her daughter is on the road to college until a well intentioned mistake derails everything in their perfect family. Skye, Peyton's sister is a stay at home mom with a loving husband and daughter until her life is also derailed by her sisters families mistake. Now both of their lives are in limbo all because of a parent's mistake. At first I wasn't sure about Peyton but the more I got into the story the more I understand a parent's love and the lengths we will go for our children. I highly recommend this book.

This book was entertaining criticism and creative commentariat approach to scandals of Upper East socialite. One of my quickest read!
