Meanwhile, in Winterkeep, Lovisa Cavenda waits and watches, a fire inside her that is always hungry. The teenage daughter of two powerful politicians, she is the key to unlocking everything—but only if she's willing to transcend the person she's been all her life.
The Graceling Realm books are a companion series, not direct sequels, so they can be enjoyed in any order.
This was such a ride. And it definitely made me experience a vast range of feelings.Though I initially had some trouble reconnecting with the world, it's been a few years since I read the first couple of books or since the last book was released, but I can say that it was absolutely worth it. The ending, after all, blew me away. It is not an easy or light book, though, as it deals with complicated issues such as abuse (both physical and emotional) depression, and starvation in very heartbreaking ways.
The continuing adventures of Queen Bitterblue, with intrigue and telepathic foxes, environmental issues and family drama. Negotiating a foreign country while investigating crimes and political machinations. I highly recommend this
The new world we discover in this one is also so mystical and wonderful, and it was amazing to get to see it through the character's eyes for the first time.
This book was not only captivating, but intense, and as Kristin did so many with her previous titles. If you’ve never read this series, you will definitely want to pick up the original three, because while this is a new story, it does talk about some of the characters in the previous books/spoil some of the previous books.
