it was an okay story

I had high hopes for this book after reading Beach Read but it wasn't a top tier as BR. It was definitely a good story but i feel like i couldn't connect with Poppy as much as I can with January (from BR) but overall, it was a good book.

Heartwarming love story

Alex and Poppy started off their friendship pretty awkwardly but that was what made their friendship stronger along the years. Knowing that Poppy was Alex's first ever attempt at having friends made the story much more heartwarming. There's not much words for me to describe this book but i'm pretty glad I stumbled on it. The book screams slow burn romance but the slow burn was written very well by Emily I couldn't help but soak in every single word.

Such a good book about friends to lovers. Its easy to read not definitely a book to be read in one sitting. Thumbs up!
