About the Author

Lee Su Kim is a bestselling Malaysian author, educator and cultural activist. She is the author of a trilogy of short stories on the Peranakan Babas and Nyonyas: Kebaya Tales: Of Matriarchs, Maidens, Mistresses and Matchmakers, Sarong Secrets: Of Love, Loss and Longing and Manek Mischiefs: Of Patriarchs Playboys and Paramours. Kebaya Tales won First Prize in the Popular-Star Readers' Choice Awards 2011(Fiction).

Stephen J Hall is a multilingual New Zealander who has lived and worked in Malaysia since 2001. He is a retired Professor of English Language Studies, and a former Dean, Sunway University. Stephen was an English language specialist in Singapore for 11years and has always enjoyed writing poetry and other genres such as with this collaboration. Earlier management of a Malaysian national teacher education project took him to rural parts of the country.
