Ever since Arlena's arrival at the resort, Hercule Poirot had detected sexual tension in the seaside air. But could this apparent 'crime of passion' have been something more evil and premeditated altogether?
This particular installment was a good murder-mystery story in the series. The suspense was well kept with a lot of twists and turns. There was a touch of humor despite the gravity of the contents of the story. And of course, as always no criminal mind can beat the ingenious mind of Poirot! I myself was quite surprised when the criminal and the motive was revealed. When one can be taken quite by surprise even at the 24th installment of a series, that in itself is enough commendation of the extra-ordinary gift of the author.
This book was so amazing. The ending was quite unexpected, but very well developed. I recommend this novel for those who love a good mystery.
