Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes to work every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend.
Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything.
One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world that everyone else seems to take for granted - while searching for the courage to face the dark corners she's avoided all her life.
Change can be good. Change can be bad. But surely any change is better than... fine?
It is a good book and a fun read.
This novel fully encaptures what it's like having a traumatic past and repressing childhood memories to deal with it. Eleanor's speech and mannerisms are hilarious and I have to say that I literally laughed out loud on many occasions! I'll definitely reread this again in the future!!
This book simply, but beautifully portrays the life of a socially awkward woman, Eleanor Oliphant. Filled with trauma, as she learns to break free from herself with the help of those around her. Well written story with just the right amount of detail and let's Eleanor's ways reveal moments of humor, sadness, strength, and vulnerability. Worth reading.
This book was the sweetest, heart-warming ,sad & heart breaking all in one.
Amazing story to tell, an inspiring message to anyone.Strongly recommend!
