Reading this feels more than just reading. It feels like im in the world that Haruki Murakami created. It's simple to understand but yet so many metaphors and hidden messages. Looking forward to read more Haruki Murakami's work

This book just left me wanting more of Murakami books. there was sudden craving to get engulfed in that strangeness in a world full of questions and may let get lost in that mystic world that Murakami has offer. Absolutely love Murakami work.

This - along with The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, Norwegian Wood, Sputnik Sweetheart and The Rat tetralogy - was one of my favourite Murakami books. Absurd, funny, and still a bit nostalgic and morose, it is a unique and powerful read including raining fish. For those discovering Murakami, I would read it after The Wind-up Bird Chronicle and either Norwegian Wood or Sputnik Sweetheart.

This is a fantastic work that deftly depicts the link between consciousness and unconsciousness in a nostalgic manner. It is a boom that continues to draw the reader's attention in different ways in each chapter. A beautiful piece of work.
