Brandon Sanderson's epic fantasy trilogy overturns the expectations of readers and then goes on to tell the epic story of evil overturned in a richly imagined world. A thousand years ago evil came to the land and has ruled with an iron hand ever since. The sun shines fitfully under clouds of ash that float down endlessly from the constant eruption of volcanoes. A dark lord rules through the aristocratic families and ordinary folk are condemned to lives in servitude, sold as goods, labouring in the ash fields. But now a troublemaker has arrived and there is rumour of revolt. A revolt that depends on criminal that no-one can trust and a young girl who must master Allomancy - the magic that lies in all metals. A word of mouth success in the states the Mistborn trilogy has, this year, broken onto the New York Times Bestseller list. The time is ripe for its success to cross the Atlantic
This is my 1st heavy fantasy reading series. It's really amazing and Brand Sanderson did great. If you are new to fantasy I recommend taking this book because it's awesome and easy to digest. The story is also amazing. Overall i like the book!
This is an epic fantasy from the Mistborn trilogy. The book follows a group of thief led by Kelsier that has big planned to overthrow the Lord Ruler who has been ruled for over a thousand years.
The story also follows Vin, a Skaa who joins a group of thief and learned about herself and helping them to overthrow The Lord Ruler.
In my opinion, Sanderson is a talented writer. He may not have used flowery words and sentences, but as a person who isn’t the first language is English, reading something like this was a great experience.
He managed to capture my attention using his plot and world building and magic system. I am impressed with it especially magic system. We learn about Allomancy which is how a person having an ability by burning metals.
Politics in this book is also great as we get to see each Keep play their own role and to become a powerful Keep in the city
I like interaction between Vin and Elend from the start they knew each other until the end of book one. I’m rooting for them, especially since they're a no other love line in this book.
Even it has around 600 pages, but the story keeps becoming more and more interesting
The Final Empire (Mistborn #1)
Good excellent service
The book in itself was a spectacular ride. It was easy to read yet has so much depth and everything can be pictured in your mind really clearly. The only downside is when I got the book, there was already a dead bug on page 466 on delivery. It did take me out of the reading experience for a page or 2, the book has quickly become my favourite. However, it will still bother me quite a bit on rereads of if I lend the book to someone else.
